Rotary Shoes

Rotary Shoes are manufactured from specialty heat treated alloy to provide the ultimate in toughness and durability. They are used to cut a clearance between the fish and the wall of the well bore. Each shoe is designed to fit a particular downhole need and is run on the bottom of the washover string. Shoe design is dictated by whether it cuts on the bottom, on the O.D., on the I.D., or on any combination of these. When hole size permits, additional clearances can be cut by using side ribs to enable greater circulation.
